I've always been an avid reader, fond of the written word more often than the reality around me. Escaping into the pages of a book never disappointed my imagination. I love all genres. I can be found immersed in a sweet contemporary romance, paranormal, historical, young adult novels, and many others in between. My favorite author is Nora Roberts, with Karen Marie Moning close behind. Currently, I found a new author to follow, Rachael Bloome, and am loving her sweet contemporary Poppy Creek series, which begins with The Clause in Christmas book.

The first moment I remember knowing I enjoyed writing was in 8th grade when my English teacher, Mrs. Maurer, assigned our class a book project: All About Me. My own little autobiography at the time which I still have to this day.
While I dabbled in poetry and short stories throughout my high school career, most of my writing experience involved folded notes passed along to my best friends. It wasn't until 2006 when my best friend and fellow author, Holly Greenfield, introduced me to our local RWA writing chapter called CNYRW, Central NY Romance Writers.

Holly Greenfield, Nora Roberts, and me at the RWA Conference in Houston, Texas in 2007.
Learning the writing craft was, and still is, an amazing experience. Not only have I met many gifted authors, I've learned how to put my own imagination on paper. I sold my first short story in 2008. I continued on to write four more, also published. Please take a look at My Stories page for more information. You'll see I write across genres and heat levels. I write what I feel at the time. I write what inspires me at that moment. Today, I'm writing more contemporary with a Hallmark feel focused around the holidays. Maybe it's because I'm getting older...yeah, 40 came up on me fast...or maybe it's just what I'm into right now. Regardless, I'm loving it and I can't wait to announce my next release date! BTW...it's coming!
But I digress...I write because I absolutely love it! I love the process, the torture when writer's block hits, (and oh yes, it does!), the fellowship from fellow authors, the research, the imagination, and the happy-ever-afters. Especially those. I want my readers to give that satisfied sigh when they finish reading my stories. I want them to clutch my book to their chest and just feel warm and happy. I envision that. I pray I can deliver on that image.
I thank God for giving me this gift. It's truly been a highlight of my life.
